Fr Luke Miller has been Rector since August 2015. He is also Archdeacon of London, supporting eighty-eight churches in the Cities of London and Westminster. More widely in the Church of England he is currently Prolocutor of the Convocation of Canterbury (co-chair of the House of Clergy of the General Synod), and a member of Archbishops’ Council.

Fr Luke began his ordained ministry in Watford, and served for seventeen years at St Mary’s Tottenham before becoming Archdeacon in north London in time to support the riot responses in 2011. Until 2022 he was Chair the Faith Sector of the London Resilience Forum and had significant engagement in the pandemic response. He was appointed by the Mayor of London to the GLA’s London Recovery Board as Faith & Belief Member. He is Clerk to the London Church Leaders’ Meeting, which is chaired by the Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster and the Bishop of London to bring together the main denominations and umbrella organisations of independent churches in London.

Fr Luke is trustee of a number of charities including Pusey House in Oxford. He has wide experience in governance of schools in the State and Independent sectors. He was chair of the London Diocesan Board for Schools and was on the Council of an Oxford Theological College for some years.

He has written two books on Fr George Congreve, SSJE, an Anglican spiritual writer, and contributed to other publications on mission and church history.

Fr Luke is President of the Guild of All Souls and was appointed to the honorary post of Chaplain to the Queen (now to the King) in 2020. He is married to Jacqui who is a teacher and cleric, and they have three sons. He was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London in June 2025.
